Bayern Munich are working to keep Michael Olise at the club despite growing interest from several of Europe’s biggest teams in the French winger.
The Bavarian giants have no intention of losing Olise, but at the same time they have begun exploring alternative options should the player leave either during this transfer window or in future transfer periods.
According to FC Bayern Insider, one of Bayern’s preferred targets is Morgan Gibbs-White, the attacking midfielder currently playing for Nottingham Forest.
However, a move for the England international appears complicated at this stage. Following the sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for approximately £116 million, Nottingham Forest are under no financial pressure to sell key players and are determined to keep Gibbs-White at the club.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis and head coach Oliver Glasner are focused on strengthening the squad rather than weakening it by selling one of their most influential players.
Gibbs-White is regarded as one of Nottingham Forest’s standout performers. Last season, he scored 18 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions, although his impressive performances were not enough to earn him a place in the England national team.
The attacking midfielder came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but ultimately signed a new three-year contract, becoming the highest-paid player in Nottingham Forest’s history.
One factor that could influence his future is his recent move to the ROOF agency, which reportedly maintains a strong working relationship with Bayern Munich.
According to the Daily Mail, if Michael Olise departs Bayern Munich—with Real Madrid continuing to monitor his situation—Morgan Gibbs-White would emerge as one of the club’s leading candidates to replace him.
For now, however, the reports suggest that this remains only a potential scenario, with no concrete negotiations currently taking place between the two clubs.
