The Argentina national team has made a special decision regarding the number 10 shirt, which has been worn by Lionel Messi for many years.
According to reports from Argentine media outlet “TyC Sports”, head coach Lionel Scaloni has decided that no player will wear this number in the two friendly matches scheduled for November.
As a result, the iconic number 10 shirt will remain unused following Messi’s retirement from international football in September, according to the report.
No decision has yet been made regarding which player will inherit the number in the future.
For Argentina, the number 10 carries special significance, as alongside Messi, it has also been worn by legendary figures such as Diego Maradona.
