Bayern Munich have received bad news following their 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund, with Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry set to be sidelined for an indefinite period due to injuries.
The German club confirmed on Sunday that both players sustained injuries during Saturday’s Bundesliga clash.
Saibari suffered a ligament tear in his right ankle. The Moroccan international has already successfully undergone surgery. He was seen leaving the stadium on crutches following the injury.
Meanwhile, Gnabry sustained a muscle injury to the back of his left thigh. The German forward was forced to leave the pitch just two minutes after Saibari had been substituted.
However, Bayern Munich’s injury problems do not end there. Towards the end of the match against Dortmund, French footballer Michael Olise also suffered a muscle injury.
The Bavarian club has not revealed how long the three players will be out of action, but has confirmed that Saibari and Gnabry will be unavailable for an indefinite period.
