Arsenal considered the possibility of signing Vinicius Junior during the latest transfer window, Miguel Molina, one of manager Mikel Arteta’s assistants, has confirmed.
The London club’s coaching staff member revealed this in an interview with Radio MARCA, stating that the Real Madrid star was one of the names considered by Arsenal before the Brazilian renewed his contract with the “Los Blancos.”
“He was a name that was on the table, yes,” Molina said when asked about Arsenal’s interest in Vinicius.
Molina also spoke about Mikel Arteta’s approach to his work at the helm of the London side, describing the Spaniard as an extremely demanding and dedicated coach.
“He is the first to arrive and the last to leave. He is very intense; he is an extremely demanding person,” Molina said. He also praised Arteta’s ability to get the best out of his players and members of his coaching staff.
Speaking about the atmosphere in Arsenal’s dressing room, Molina highlighted the unity and camaraderie within the squad as some of the team’s key strengths.
According to him, at Arsenal, the prevailing idea is that the interests of the team come above everything else.
