Bad News for Inter: Çalhanoğlu Could Miss Roma Clash

Hakan Çalhanoğlu is expected to miss Inter’s clash with Roma after the Turkish midfielder suffered a muscular injury to his right thigh.

Çalhanoğlu underwent detailed examinations this morning at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas to determine the nature of the injury he sustained ahead of the match against Udinese.

The results were far from encouraging for Inter, as the tests revealed a muscular problem involving the adductor muscle of his right thigh.

“Hakan Çalhanoğlu underwent tests this morning at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas, which revealed a muscular problem involving the adductor of his right thigh. His condition will be assessed over the coming days,” the Nerazzurri club announced.

There is pessimism within the Inter camp regarding the possibility of the Turkish midfielder being available for the match against Roma, which will be played on Saturday, September 19.

Çalhanoğlu is expected to miss the fixture, with the aim now being for him to return after the international break.

If his recovery progresses as planned, the midfielder could be available for Inter again in around three weeks, when club football resumes following the break for international matches.
