Mourinho Trusts the BMV Trio

Jose Mourinho has sent clear signals that he does not plan to rest Real Madrid’s attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham in the upcoming matches.

Real Madrid return to action in La Liga this Tuesday, when they travel to face Elche, following an impressive 4-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.

In that match, Kylian Mbappe scored twice, taking his tally to seven goals in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Bellingham has contributed five goal involvements, while Vinicius Junior has four.

All three players joined Real Madrid late after their commitments with their respective national teams at the 2026 World Cup, but Mourinho has started them in all six of the team’s matches so far this season.

The Portuguese coach has not ruled out starting the trio once again against Elche and then in the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid at the weekend.

“If I can start them all again tomorrow, I will. I have a lot of confidence in how each player feels physically and in what they tell me,” Mourinho stated.

He stressed that decisions regarding the lineup are made based on physical data, communication with the players and recommendations from the medical staff.

“I read the data and speak with the players and the medical staff to make the decision. But if there is nothing abnormal, I will start them tomorrow,” he added.

Mourinho was equally decisive when discussing the Madrid derby.

“And there is no doubt that they will start in the derby,” the Real Madrid coach concluded.
