Bayern Munich are not planning to make an offer for Barcelona defender Jules Koundé during the January transfer window.
According to journalist Christian Falk, the German champions continue to admire the French defender, whom they had previously attempted to sign before he joined Barcelona. However, Koundé is not currently a transfer target for Bayern ahead of the winter window.
The main obstacle is the cost of the deal. Bayern Munich are unwilling to spend between €80 million and €90 million on the French defender, a fee considered too high by the club’s hierarchy.
Koundé remains an important member of Barcelona’s squad, and it remains to be seen whether Bayern will revive their interest in the defender during a future transfer window.
