Barcelona president Joan Laporta has shared his thoughts on who he believes should win the Ballon d’Or.
Laporta threw his full support behind his club’s young star, Lamine Yamal, following the forward’s outstanding season.
“I hope Lamine Yamal wins the Ballon d’Or. He deserves it,” Laporta said.
Yamal enjoyed a remarkable campaign last season, scoring 24 goals and providing 18 assists in 42 appearances. He was also named La Liga Player of the Season and has emerged as one of the leading contenders for football’s most prestigious individual award, alongside Harry Kane.
