Raphinha has expressed his desire to continue his career at Barcelona and retire wearing the Catalan club’s shirt.
The Barcelona captain is now in his fifth season in Catalonia and, after a difficult start at the club, has developed into one of the team’s key players.
Under the management of Hansi Flick, the Brazilian enjoyed an outstanding 2024/25 campaign, scoring 34 goals as Barcelona won the domestic treble. He also continued to produce strong performances last season, scoring 21 goals.
Raphinha, who previously admitted that he had considered the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia, now wants to remain at Barcelona for many years to come.
“Yes, I plan to renew my contract. When I renewed previously, I did so until 2028, with the idea that by then I would be 30 or 31 years old,” Raphinha said.
He has indicated that he wants to remain at Camp Nou beyond the end of his current contract.
“Looking at the way this season has started, it seems that I still have a few years ahead of me, and I would be very happy if I could extend my contract. I hope to finish my career here, without having to go anywhere else,” the Brazilian added.
