Thomas Tuchel has announced England’s squad for the September and October Nations League matches, with 27 players included in the squad.
The most notable inclusion is the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who had not been called up by the “Three Lions” since 2025. Cole Palmer, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lewis Hall and Myles Lewis-Skelly have also returned to the squad.
Tuchel has also called up 18-year-old Liverpool talent Rio Ngumoha, while Alex Scott and goalkeeper Jason Steele are among the players who could make their competitive debuts for England.
Several familiar names have been left out of the squad, including Jordan Henderson and John Stones, while Noni Madueke has also not been included.

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrad Branthwaite, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guéhi, Lewis Hall, Ezri Konsa, Tino Livramento, Nico O’Reilly, Jarrell Quansah.
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson, Jude Bellingham, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Alex Scott.
Forwards: Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Eberechi Eze, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Rio Ngumoha, Marcus Rashford, Morgan Rogers, Bukayo Saka.
England will begin this cycle on September 26 against Spain at Wembley, before travelling to Prague to face the Czech Republic on September 29.
On October 3, the “Three Lions” will take on Croatia in Rijeka, while the four-match cycle will conclude on October 6 with the return fixture against the Czech Republic at Wembley.
This is Tuchel’s first England squad since the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup and marks the beginning of a new cycle for the “Three Lions.”
