Benzema Could Move to the Premier League

Karim Benzema could be one of the biggest names available on the free-agent market. The 38-year-old French striker is currently without a club after parting ways with Al-Hilal, and there is no shortage of interest in his services.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Benzema could receive offers from English clubs, including Premier League sides. Although the summer transfer window has closed, English clubs are still allowed to sign players who are currently without a contract.

Benzema left Al-Hilal after just a few months, with the two parties mutually agreeing to terminate his contract. During his brief spell with the Saudi Arabian club, the Frenchman scored 10 goals in 16 appearances, showing that he can still make a difference in front of goal.

The Premier League is not the only destination on the horizon. Al-Shabab have also shown interest in Benzema, while several Turkish clubs are monitoring the situation surrounding the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if offers came from England,” Jacobs said, describing Benzema as one of the most interesting free agents on the market. However, his age could be a factor that clubs will take seriously into consideration.

A return to England would be particularly intriguing for Benzema, as he has never played in the Premier League. Over the years, his name has been linked with several English giants, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.

With 484 goals in 895 club appearances and a trophy-laden career, Benzema remains one of the biggest names in football currently looking for a new club.

It remains to be seen whether Benzema’s next adventure will take him to England, Turkey or back to Saudi Arabia once again.
