Tottenham have disappointed once again in the Premier League, drawing 0-0 away to Nottingham Forest in the third round. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have still failed to score a single goal in their first three league matches.
After 270 minutes of league football, Spurs are still searching for their first goal and, more importantly, their first victory. They began the season with a heavy 3-0 away defeat to Brentford, before suffering a 2-0 loss to Newcastle at home in the second round.
The third match brought no change either. Tottenham failed to find the net against Nottingham Forest and left the City Ground with just one point.
After three rounds, the London side have only one point and a goal difference of 0-5. This means Tottenham have not only failed to win a single match, but have also yet to score in the league.

Huge Investments
The situation is even more surprising considering the club’s huge spending during the summer transfer window. Tottenham spent €354.7 million on new signings, carrying out a major rebuilding of the squad.
Sandro Tonali joined from Newcastle for €108 million, Mateus Fernandes arrived from West Ham for €99 million, Sávio moved from Manchester City for €87.7 million, while Jan Paul van Hecke was signed from Brighton for €60 million.
In addition, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dúbravka joined the squad as free agents. However, the club’s massive investment has so far had virtually no impact on Tottenham’s Premier League results.
Spurs did record an impressive 5-1 victory over Charlton in the League Cup, but the situation in the league is completely different. In three matches, the team have failed to score a single goal and have collected just one point.
Tottenham are facing major problems in attack and have shown very little threat in front of goal so far. Despite the numerous reinforcements and spending of almost €355 million, De Zerbi’s side remain without a win and without a goal in the Premier League.
At the end of the summer, Tottenham also sold 19-year-old Croatian defender Luka Vušković to Brighton following his impressive loan spell at HSV. Today, Vušković scored his first Premier League goal in Brighton’s 1-1 draw against Leeds, heading the ball into the net.
