The Opta Analyst supercomputer has published its prediction for the upcoming Premier League season and identified the leading favorite in the title race. According to the simulation results, reigning champions Arsenal have the highest probability of winning the 2026/27 Premier League title.
The London club emerged victorious in 38% of the simulations conducted by the supercomputer, giving Mikel Arteta’s side a slight advantage over their closest rivals, Manchester City. The “Citizens” have been given a 20.5% chance of winning the league.
Liverpool rank third among the favorites, with a 9.2% chance of lifting the Premier League trophy. According to the predictions, the gap between the Reds and the two leading contenders is quite significant.
Behind Liverpool are Manchester United, Aston Villa and Chelsea. These clubs are also viewed by the supercomputer as potential contenders in the title race, but their chances are considerably lower compared with Arsenal and Manchester City.
Therefore, according to Opta’s pre-season model, the “Gunners” are the leading candidates for the Premier League crown. Arsenal have been given almost twice the probability of success compared with Manchester City.
