One of the biggest transfers of the summer could see Vinicius Junior join Arsenal.
According to the latest reports from England, the move is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility.
The “Hand of Arsenal” account reported on X that Arsenal have already reached an agreement with Vinicius Jr on personal terms.
The same report claims that the Gunners are now preparing to enter negotiations with Real Madrid, armed with a blockbuster offer for the Brazilian superstar.
Vinicius has now entered the final stage of his current contract with Real Madrid, which expires in June 2027.
Contract renewal talks between the player and the Spanish giants have not progressed as expected, and the situation now appears to be heading toward a possible transfer rather than risking losing the Brazilian for free in the future.
Earlier today, Real Madrid reportedly issued Vinicius an ultimatum: “Accept the offer on the table or leave.”
The Spanish club has offered him a new contract worth €20 million per year, an increase of €3 million from his current salary.
However, Vinicius has rejected the proposal and is reportedly demanding a contract worth €30 million per season.
Real Madrid do not want to lose Vinicius, but they have also made it clear that they are unwilling to break the club’s wage structure for any player.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 for a transfer fee of €45 million.
Since then, the Brazilian has scored 128 goals and provided 100 assists across all competitions for Los Blancos.
He has won the UEFA Champions League twice and La Liga three times, along with several other major trophies.
In 2024, Vinicius finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting, with the award ultimately going to Rodri of Manchester City.
