Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly showing serious interest in signing Jules Kounde from Barcelona and are preparing a €65 million offer for the French defender.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the North London club highly values the 27-year-old because of his versatility, as he is capable of playing both as a right-back and as a central defender.
However, a transfer currently appears unlikely, with Barcelona considering Kounde one of their key players and relying heavily on him in both defensive positions.
Tottenham are closely monitoring the French international’s situation, particularly amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of Cristian Romero and Djed Spence at the club.
Kounde, who is currently enjoying his holiday following an impressive campaign with France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, remains under contract with Barcelona until June 2030.
Although the defender is happy at Camp Nou, a significantly improved financial offer from the Premier League could persuade him to reconsider his future.
Tottenham remain interested in securing his signature, but Barcelona have given no indication that they are willing to part ways with one of the most important players in their defensive line.
