Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has spoken about Harry Kane’s future and the possibility of extending the English striker’s stay at the club.
“The willingness to continue together exists on both sides. Now we have to see whether our ideas align,” Dreesen told Sport1, suggesting that contract extension talks will depend on reaching an agreement that satisfies both the club and the player.
Kane, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in 2023, is currently under contract until 2027.
The Bavarian giants are keen to keep the England striker beyond the expiration of his current deal and have already begun discussions over a new contract.
In Munich, club officials are extremely pleased with the performances of England’s captain, who has established himself as one of the team’s leaders.
He has scored an impressive 60 goals in a single season, and Bayern regard him as a key figure in their long-term project. The club has no intention of losing such an influential player after only a few seasons in Germany.
To avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer, Bayern Munich are working hard to convince Kane to remain at the Allianz Arena for many more years.
